Anne Hathaway lost too much weight for Les Miserables
It is said that it took Anne Hathaway many weeks to reintegrate into society after her role as Fantine in Les Misérables, for which she received an Oscar.
For someone who was already thin to begin with, Hathaway’s weight drop to play the less fortunate character was quite dramatic—nearly twenty-five pounds. She was in bodily and mental pain during the process, so we assume she wouldn’t go through it again—not even for an Oscar.
