Jessica Alba pretty much quit acting after Fantastic Four
Although Jessica Alba received a lot of criticism for her poor performance in the Fantastic Four films, it doesn’t appear like she was totally to blame. After shooting the sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer, Alba felt compelled to give up acting completely, which is exactly what she did.
Tim Story, the director, insisted that she “cry pretty” and to tone down her facial expressions, saying that it appeared as like she was in pain. The actress added that Story instructed her to “just make it flat,” adding the tears digitally. She began to believe that she was unworthy as an actor and a person as a result of receiving negative feedback about her abilities. She no longer acts now.
