John Carter tanked Taylor Kitsch’s movie career
Taylor Kitsch had a difficult year in 2012. Following Friday Night Lights, he starred in a number of unsuccessful motion pictures, all of which failed at the box office. John Carter, however, was the biggest failure of them, unable to recoup its lavish over $300 million budget.
Hollywood executives refused to put Kitsch in blockbusters because it was his most well-known part and it was such a disastrous failure. People called him “box office poison.”
