Carrie Fisher wished she never did Star Wars
Bipolar disorder can be a difficult mental disease to manage on its own, but Carrie Fisher faced additional challenges because of her celebrity and public persona. For the late actress, who said in her memoirs that she would never have agreed to make it if she had known how significant it would be, this proved to be difficult.
Fisher found her fame to be too much, and she struggled with using illegal drugs. In the end, Carrie said it herself in a single statement, telling *Today*, “I wish I’d turned down Star Wars.”
