Bruce Willis went partially deaf because of Die Hard
You might be asking why a film like Die Hard would negatively impact Bruce Willis. Some would argue that he owes his entire career to that movie. However, he had to give up something else in order to pursue a career in Hollywood: his hearing.
Willis reportedly experienced various injuries while creating that left one of his ears nearly deaf. In a Q&A with *The Guardian*, he said, “I suffer from two-thirds partial hearing loss in my left ear due to an injury on the original Die Hard and have the propensity to exclaim, ‘What? We’re unsure if turning half deaf for the job was worth it for the actor, even though John McClane played an essential role.
