Emergency Call
U/LoveYourDoggos: “My aunt took an odd call while I was in school, and my mom was out running chores. The caller stated my mother’s name, our car’s colour and brand, and that she and I had been in a car accident. She was informing my aunt of this. The catch is that she was pleading for cash to enable the hospital to “function” and preserve our lives.
Although my aunt was taken aback, the caller had no idea that our lone vehicle was securely parked at home. The caller then became agitated and demanded that she send someone to our location IMMEDIATELY to collect the money so they could pay and operate on us immediately, claiming that this was the “fastest” method available. My aunt hung up, called my mother, and told her everything.”
