It’s interesting how the amount of individuals who genuinely receive welfare can vary depending on how one defines who needs it. This woman was used by Bill Clinton as an example of someone who had overcome poverty and was no longer in need of assistance.
She still required welfare, even though she was no longer receiving it. She just no longer met the qualifications. When we deny people the necessities of life, what a depressing world we live in.
