The idea that a seemingly insignificant error might end up costing an enormous $800 is simply ridiculous. Not only that, but it would have literally cost this gentleman his life if he hadn’t been able to pay for the expense of refilling his insulin.
Furthermore, the person who discovered insulin originally promised that it should always be available and affordable for everyone. It appears that the memo was misplaced.
