Last year, our Basset Hound, Susie, gave us quite a scare when her stomach suddenly became bloated. Concerned about a potential serious issue, we rushed her to the vet. After a thorough day of checkups and X-rays, the surprising culprit was revealed—Susie had managed to devour a whole 12-pack of hamburger buns, including the plastic and their wrappers! It was an unexpected and worrisome discovery. To ensure Susie’s well-being, we agreed to a comprehensive treatment plan recommended by the vet.
The total cost for Susie’s care amounted to $1000. Thankfully, she recovered well after the treatment, serving as a reminder to keep a close eye on what our furry friends might sneakily snack on.
