Rule Bending
My boyfriend’s parents had landscaped their backyard to include a pool and bar. They wanted to add a bathroom and locker room with pool equipment to the barbecue. The HOA initially rejected their plan because freestanding structures were not allowed in the backyard.
The rule was circumvented by attaching three of the four frames, such as wooden coverings, to the bar. It was no longer considered freedom.
