Dangerous Game
“Not me, but my spouse. A colleague of mine used to visit and play Xbox in addition to smoking. I knew the guy was a little strange, but I liked him. He told some false fibers in the past, but everyone knew they were b——-. My wife, who was merely my girlfriend then, always felt uneasy around him. She claimed he gave her such a hateful, angry face, but he never did anything specifically to make her feel uneasy.
I eventually stopped going out with the friend because he no longer frequently visited the city for work. Fast forward a few years, and another mutual friend calls me to say the Xbox friend was killed by police, unfortunately only after he had already killed his neighbor and his wife. Crazy.”
