U/CasualAwful: “I had a friend in high school who was in a terrible accident. He was in the intensive care unit, undergoing emergency surgery. A few days have passed since the incident. A friend of mine who recently saw him in the intensive care unit called me. He said that they are hopeful, although he is still ventilated and growing. That evening, I’m going to be playing video games. My entire body seems to shudder’ out of nowhere. I couldn’t quite put it into words, but I felt off. Everywhere, I set down the controller and sat there in disbelief. I am aware of my friend’s absence. It’s beyond me to explain, but I know.
As predicted, we received word that he had departed within the hour. My logical mind recognizes that this is a coincidence. This was an incident I would have forgotten if my friend hadn’t passed away. That’s the closest I’ve ever felt to anything otherworldly, though, guy.”
