Intuition at Play
U/Rcrowley32: “My great aunt Eleanor was watching my brother and me when I was around three years old. She was very elderly and generally unaware of what was happening. She chose to go on a walk with my younger sister and me. I was merely toddling along behind my sister in the stroller when I slid farther back than my parents would have allowed.
When I went outside (about two homes down), two males in their twenties approached me holding hammers and asked if I “wanted to help them build some shelves.” I became horribly terrified for no apparent cause. And I dashed to catch Eleanor up. This gave me nightmares for years, and I still remember it clearly. After that, this neighbour moved into his parents’ backyard and bought an old school bus. I think Eleanor would have been happy to leave me with them. That’s still on my mind.”
