Our neighbors who reside next door often have a crucial role in our lives. They may provide friendship and support, but they can also bring unexpected difficulties and conflicts that can turn a peaceful neighborhood into a battlefield.
When Albert and June Birch learned that a new neighbor would be relocating to their little village in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, they had no idea that this newcomer would upend their perfect life as they approached old age. The old couple, though, was not going down without a fight.
Meet the Birches
Albert and June Birch resided in Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. They had spent more than 40 years in their charming wooden house, and now both of them are in their seventies. They loved the lakes and mountains’ beautiful landscape and their closeness to nature. They also enjoyed being a member of a close-knit group of individuals who shared their views.
For the newlyweds, life in Saranac Lake was comfortable and familiar. They had no idea that someone would soon destroy the thing they valued most.
