The birthplace of David Carter is Boston, Massachusetts. He was the cerebral, math-inclined kind who, from an early age, had his sights set on the conventional corporate trajectory. His only goal in life was to please his mother, and he succeeded in doing so by obtaining his Master’s degree and moving up the corporate ladder in a very prosperous company.
David frequently forgot to look outside of himself and make time for other activities in life since he was so engrossed in the business grind. He went to a local art exhibition as a change of pace. That’s where he saw Emma for the first time.
