Regardless of how successful we are in our personal and professional lives, sometimes, we feel like we have yet to accomplish all of our goals. While it may seem trivial to others, these goals can drive the choices we make.
When Susan Alvarez finally overcame her fear of driving, she decided to reward herself by buying her dream car. However, she never expected owning her first set of wheels to be so difficult. Little did she know that her day at the dealership was about to be one of the most memorable days of her life.
Meet Susan Alvarez
Thirty-three-year-old Susan Alvarez was a child of immigrants. She always felt that she faced more hurdles in life than her peers, but she learned early on that the obstacles standing between her and her dreams weren’t unachievable.
When her high school teachers doubted her, she rose to the top of her class and became valedictorian. When her mentors advised her to attend a state school, she shot higher and went to an Ivy League University. Susan felt unstoppable, but she had a shortcoming that she was always ashamed of.
