Automated machines and robots abound on the internet. It’s challenging to distinguish between phony and authentic accounts.
The Hertz staff was extremely anxious to prove to the public that they, too, are human. They didn’t appear to realize that the bot account was the source of the original offense in the post. Hertz, poor Hertz.
