U/To_dog: “Even though I’m not a father and he’s my younger sister’s boyfriend, I believe that my parents and I all knew right away that he was a lovely man. However, I was informed that her uterus had to be removed in order for her never to have children when my sister had cancer a few months after they started dating.
Without struggling, he attended her to every appointment and supported her during every therapy. She was always thoughtful, comforting, and the best source of support she could ask for. At that point, we moved from thinking, “He’s a good guy,” to thinking, “He’s THE guy.” In lighter news, my sister’s cancer has been defeated, and they will tie the knot next month.”
