We definitely needed some time to figure out what was going on in this picture, and then we needed even more time to actually enjoy it! To put it simply, the location and positioning are flawlessly done. Even when we’ve deduced the explanation, the sight is still mind-boggling, so we can’t stop staring. Bravo, women.
Buddha Said No
Buddha seemed to be attempting to explain why things are happening in our world far too quickly. Let’s all just depress for a moment and unwind.
Either that or the Buddha is pretending to do takeoffs and crashes while tinkering with a toy plane, zipping it over the sky and emitting engine noises. As an aside, it might possibly be a model airplane that someone has adhered to the fingers of the statue. Which one is it? Though it’s unlikely that we will know for sure, our money is on a passing jet that appears to be being held.
Demonic Dance
We’re not sure exactly how she does what she does – but the fact the photo was taken mid-dance makes her look possessed.
You know what, it’s not just the fact that this is mid-dance; it’s the jet black hair, the red satin gloves, the overcast location and the apparent weightlessness and insane flexibility of the dancer that all add up to something slightly grotesque, unsettling and uncanny, but also intensely, darkly beautiful.
Green Screen
Stay put, we will be back shortly with some new landscape motifs for a perfect camouflage. In the meantime, marvel at how perfectly matched this girl’s jeans and t-shirt are with the sea and the sky.
This photo’s greatness lies in its simplicity: it’s a deceivingly clever concept, but the execution here is so perfectly done that we can’t seem to look away. It’s almost an optical illusion, a perfect storm of all the various elements coming together to form something beautiful.
Focused
If you’ve been to a military parade, then you know they usually go something like this. At first, they’re exciting! Soldiers, uniforms, tanks, trucks!
But as the endless procession continues, things can get a little dull. And if you think that’s true for spectators, it’s doubly true for the soldiers taking part. Imagine marching in close formation all day long, not being able to look left or right, talk to your friends or zone out, even once. It’s a good thing they didn’t say anything about moving your mouth. Yawn!
Kick it Off
“Ack, those American tourists!” Europeans must be thinking, shaking their heads and waving their fists. “Destroying our priceless architecture with their hooliganism! Look at what this American has done to our previously straight tower!!”
Ok, we admit, this one is cool. But kids, do not try this at home – Unless you are cheerleaders of course, in which case – um. Go for it! Give me an “L!”
Play It Cool Guys
Ok, we kinda want to join this gang…It really does look like this cat is taking a selfie with his dog pals – which, to us, totally makes sense. Of course the cat would be the one working the technology while the dogs stand back and look happy but confused.
The thing about perfectly timed photos is, it’s usually fun to imagine what happened a moment before and a moment after they were taken – but in this case, we just hope the cat’s alright.
Shaken Not Stirred
We would not suggest ever, ever trusting her with a bottle of Champagne or sparkly wine. Seriously, how do you even accomplish something like that, let alone without trying? It just doesn’t make any physical sense! This beer-tastrophe rails against the laws of God an man and we just can’t bring ourselves to accept it!

Her Dream Came True
That moment when that boy that you’ve been mo9oning over for years finally notices you.
Or, when, you know, that moment when you’re taking a well deserved rest and sitting down for a spell, maybe zoning out, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a HUGE QUARTERBACK RUSHES AT YOU, SLAMMING INTO THE GROUND LIKE SOME KIND OF POSESSED RHINO, SCARING THE HELL OUT OF YOU!!! We’ve all been there, ma’am. It ain’t pretty, but it’s life, isn’t it. What can you do.
Wrong Sweatshirt
To be fair, however you wear this sweatshirt, it would always be inappropriate. Still, out of all the possible configurations this could be draped over one’s body – this one has got to be the absolute worst.
It’s not just the pose, or the placement, or the fact that it’s Mickey Mouse… it’s the fact that this was apparently shot in line at a theme park, surrounded by children! We’re not the fashion police, but even to us, this seems like a bit much!
Hard Enough
If they were only looking – apparently it’s getting harder to keep their interest. Good thing someone was taking photos of the competition, eh? We wonder how many times this happens in competitions, when something truly amazing goes unnoticed – except by the competitor.
We can only imagine how frustrating that must be… But we guess that’s just a professional hazard athletes have to deal with. What spoort is this, anyway? Planking? Hovering? We… don’t really know anything about sports.
Go Team Go
You know those days when you just can’t get your hair where you want it? Well, we think this cheerleader definitely knows that feeling.
Cheerleading isn’t just waiving your pompons and singing cheers, nowadays, it’s all about dances and jumps. And while these ladies are in perfect sync, it seems as though the photographer captured the moment in which everything in a bit of an array. We sure do hope their team ended up winning.
Feel Her Pain
That cheesecake just saved her at least an hour in the gym by jumping off the plate. A perfect birthday present if you ask us. But her expression really does perfectly capture the pain that comes with the loss of a cheesecake.
While cheescakes are a menace to your figure, it’s impossible to deny that they are a food bestowed upon us by a higher, greater power – and that cheesecake in particular looks… well. It looks perfect. You know what? 3 second rule.
Power Undershot
Sometimes living next to the airport can be so cool. Or maybe just visiting someone who lives next to the airport. Yeah, that’s a better idea. We wonder what other cool things this building managed to frame, too.
Is there a shot of the moon, or an eclipse? Maybe a hot air balloon? Or even just a cloud with an interesting shape? This building’s framing is just too cool and striking to waste on just one shot!
Coffee Love
How do you know if you are meant for each other? Just ask your coffee cups! Some people are simply made for each other. You must have met couples like this one: couples that, even when they make mistakes, manage to turn them into something perfectly complimentary and beautiful, together.
When you’re in love, everything looks like a sign that you’re meant to be together – and this photo manages to convey the feelign beautifully. Yeah, yeah, we know, we’re romantic old saps.
Be The Ball
Still photography at sports events can very easily be legendary. While catching the players and their movements is not the easiest task, when you catch the moment in which a player is jumping to reach the ball, amazing shots and bizarre positions can become a picture that will win any award.
German Tennis player Sabine Lisicki played against Maria Sharapova of Russia at the semifinal round at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships in 2011. She ended up losing the match but gave us a moment we will not soon forget.
Floating Board
Is this a Hover Board prototype for from Back to the Future? Or a flying carpet from Aladin’s upcoming live action film? Nope! It’s just a wooden board with a happily placed shadow of a flag a little closer to the camera.
Still, it’s pretty astounding just how great this optical illusion is. It’s almost as if the human eye wants to be fooled. Also, the more we look at this photo, the more things don’t add up. Okay, so her wooden board isn’t floating… but what are those ninjas doing in the background?
Cocktail Waterfall
Ok, where do we sign for a cocktail waterfall? The kid looks so relaxed, and really, who wouldn’t be?
This seems to be the height of luxury – to have your face washed in the cleansing, aromatic lliquids of a well mixed drink while you rest in the safe, comfortable lap of a smartly-dressed woman. If spas don’t start offering this as a service soon – well, we’ll throw a fit, that’s what we’ll do.
Bored Already
Usually, Pole Vault requires a lot of energy. But this girl can do it in her sleep! Or at least, she doesn’t seem to be very interested in what’s going on. Pole vaulting? Yawn!
Dude, if you’re that bored by a sport while you’re literally at its high point, maybe you should look into some other, more exciting vocation? Something like a radioactive mutant shark and chainsaw juggling while parachuting over an active volcano, maybe.
Secret Weapon
They told him “You just stand there and we’ll throw you one.” Honestly, that’s, like, a super power. When we saw this photo we tried jumping that high and… well… let’s just say it’s best that you’re looking at this photo and not at photos of us trying to imitate it. It was not pretty, let us tell you.
This skill would come in handy out of the court, too! …although we’re hard pressed to think of scenarios right now. Maybe… high supermarket shelves?
Frozen Head
No, it is not a picture from the ‘Frozen’ sequel or some new bizzare hairstyle, it’s just a perfect shot for a perfect shot.
What more is there to add? We’ve all dreamed of taking a friend down with a perfectly placed snowball – and sure, with enough snowball fights, you get the perfect shot in, every once in a while – but to immortalize that shot in the form of a photo, forever? That’s the dream.
Strong-Headed Woman
They always told her that she was strongminded, so she decided to test that theory. Since this is a “perfectly timed photos” article, we have to wonder – what happened a moment before this pic was snapped… and what happened a moment after?
Was this an ill-fated handstand? Was she trying to jump, head first, into the water? Or is she really, truly doing a headstand, unassisted? Whatever the case may be, the particular moment in time that this photo captures presents us with a perfectly-poised athlete.
Football Overload

Some people – the writer of this piece included – believe that the moon is actually made of cheese.
There are a lot of Moon Cheese deniers, but the fact that this crane – located in the Swiss Alps, home to some of the world’s best cheeses – appears to be lifting the moon up to the sky above an area that could very well house one – if not several – cheese production lines, is highly ssuspicious and telling, in our opinion.
Creepy Guy
Creep, or just a perfect optical illusion? Look closely and you’ll see the hand around the girl’s shoulder actually belongs to her friend, not to the guy in the background – but the illusion is so perfect that even though we have a very clear understanding of what’s happening here, we still can’t help but go back and reexamine it over and over and over again.
So weird! It doesn’t make any sense but our brain still wants to make it work somehow.
Strange Wart
You all heard about warts on frogs, but have you ever seen a frog wart on a human face? Or maybe this one is just Cindy Crawford mole wannabe frog.
How did that frog even get up there? We love the details in this photo – not just the miniature frog, but the freckles, the eyes, the lips – we can get lost in the tiny little details of this image, there’s so much depth and richness wherever you look.
Different Wedding Photo
Nowadays, all newlyweds are trying to take more interesting photos of their weddings. Well, when you have a photographer who is falling down, you are sure to have one of the rare photos.
Sure, standard wedding photos are important. You want to be able to show your kids what you, your family and your friends all looked like when things were just starting out, and it’s nice to have everything and everyone clearly situated and posed. People pay photographers a lot of money for that. But when everyone’s ready for one kind of photo and the cameraman takes a tumble, turning it into something quite different, well… that’s priceless.
Giant Lady Attacks
In Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat ecosystem, you can take some cool photos and create really good optical illusions.
This is thanks to the area’s extremely flat surface, which extends for miles in every direction, creating a bewildering lack of perspective. This is helped by the area’s low humidity, which means the air remains clear, as do people standing farther away. All of these elements help make the salt planes a popular tourist destination and great photo op spot!

Catching a plane just got a new meaning. But seriously, this photo is just amazing. As we say, with a brilliant idea, a little effort and perfect timing, we can get an amazing photo.
Easy. There’s so much going on in this photo, it really is amazing. First, we have the obvious: a plane flying overhead being “caught” by the photographer.
Father’s Love

This photo would be very endearing and cute – not to mention beautiful, if you look at the fine, comet-like powder the snowball leaves behind – but we had a disturbing thought; what if that guy isn’t that girl’s father? That would change… everything. Oh no, we hope we didn’t ruin this photo for you now! We know it’s ruined for us, but we really didn’t want to kill it for the rest of the internet..!
Handrail or Headrail
This is a cool skate park with super cool handrails. Don’t worry pal, you’ll get your turn. Really, though – what are friends for, if not to provide support when you need it most?
This guy looks like he doesn’t mind serving as a prop for his friend while he wallrides! There’s no way this photo was staged, so we’re glad the photographer who took it was there to capture the moment. Nothing like good-hearted skater solidarity.
Follow That Plane
Ok, so bear with us for a minute. That is clearly supposed to be the trail the plane left behind in the clouds. We get it. But if the trail is one that’s being left behind the plane, which window was this photo taken out of? And if it’s at an angle to the plane – well, that’s sort of frightening, isn’t it?
Either way, something here is seriously, seriously wrong – and we demand explanations. Could also just be a backward facing, wing-mounted cam. Hmm.
Bed Climbing Adventure
It’s an action movie scene that’s as old as time. The interpid hero is sneaking around the enemy base, when he hears some enemy soldiers approaching. If he doesn’t find a way to hide, quick, he’ll be caught – but there’s nowhere to go!
Then, the soldiers open the door, look around and see nothing but an empty room. When they close the door and leave, our hero descends from the ceiling corner above the door, safe and sound. Well, we’ve got news for you. Our hero is a mouse, you’re the enemy soldier, and the base is your bed.
Going to Warp
What’s faster, a camera’s shutter or a frog’s leap? This photo doesn’t really help us answer that question! The frog’s leap was caught during the shot’s exposure and makes it seem like the frog is stretching.
To the sci-fi nerds among us, this is exactly the technique they used to make Star Trek’s Enterprise appear to jump into subspace when it accelerated to warp speeds – but that effect, back in the ’80s, required long hours of painstaking photography with the latest filmmaking equipment available – and all this shot required was a frog and a pocket camera!
Hat Fish
This fish will go viral before it goes on the plate! We’re not sure what kind of fish it is – but we’re pretty sure we know what kind of fish it isn’t: it’s not a wimpy fish, by any means, anbd it’s not a small one, either.
Thanks to the fish, we’re also jsut as ignorant of the fisherman’s identity as well. Who is this mysterious, hat-wearing ocean hunter? And is it just us, or does it look like the fish’s body could be an alien head, with the finds standing in for eyes?
Holding Onto That One
“I’m not going to eat it. I’m saving it for later.” Pelicans are so weird, right?
Their weird, flexible beaks, that act like a weird cross between a weird aquarium and a weird sack – they’re just.. ugh! WEIRD! So it’s not a huge surprise that when this photographer pointed their weird camera at this weird bird, they captured something pretty, well.. Weird! In all seriousness, though – this is one heck of a photo.
A Puuuurfect Obstacle
A brilliant way to stop your cat from messing with the fish tank. At this point, you must have realized that we’re not exactly cat people – so you’ll have to excuse us if we think this photo of a kitty getting drenched is probably capturing a pretty well deserved moment.
Still, we’re not mean. While we’re sure the kitty deserved it, we wouldn’t mind toweling it down and letting it dry out with a nice can of tuna and a little catnip.

Keep your eyes on the ball, Mr. President. That’s it. Good job. Yep, that’s US president and leader of the free world, Bill Clinton, playing football on a South Carolina beach back in 1993.
Let’s not pretend this is a good catch, or good football form – it isn’t. But what it is, is one guy, giving the game his all. You don’t rush to stop a ball with your face if you’re not set on winning, and that’s what counts, right? Again, we know nothing about sports.

If you’ve grown up somewhere cold, you know what it’s like to slide on defrosting sludge. It hurts, and this photo is a reminder of a lot of painful childhood memories.
But it’s not just the fact that it managed to catch the kid in mid air, a moment before his back hits the frozen pavement and the wind gets knocked out of him. No, it’s much more than that. Ok, this never happened to us, not on public TV, but it did happen to US Women’s Gymnast Mckayla Maroney and we can all relate. Who hadn’t had an embarrassing moment where they were being captured by camera without knowing, only to find a snap of them in the midst of the most ridiculous facial expression?
Perfect for Garbage Instagram Account
They do say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder – but honestly, we’ve shown you so many weird photos, and many of them were probably not making much sense to onlookers when their photographers took them.
We’ll also admit that the writers of this article also, sometimes, maybe, have a penchant for photographing overflowing garbage cans. There’s just something about them, you know? You don’t? Well, we’re not weird! YOU’RE WEIRD! Look, this guy on the internet is doing it too!
Reverse Mermaid
We guess someone really wanted this girl to stop singing. We’re so used to seeing mermaids with a human upper body and fishy physique beneath the waist – but have you ever stopped to consider what the opposite would look like?
Not as great as a regular mermaid, is it. Terrifying, even. An abomination that goes against the laws of God and man. Indeed, one can only wonder what other horrors hide in the deep… other than that bathing suit, that is.
Flame Purgatory
This flame has a problem getting to the ‘other side.’ Photography’s been around for so long, we take it for granted that what we see in photos is just what we can see with out own eyes. But fast shutter cameras allow us to see so much more.
They crystalize moments in time that we would never be able to stop and examine ourselves, unassisted. Slow motion video does this and wows us every time, but sometimes, a simple shot of a simple household object can still take our breath away.
Bad Decision
We think this streaker miscalculated his ability to outrun a rugby player. And seriously, what was he thinking, how would it end for him?
Or maybe that’s what he wanted to happen? Streakers are, in our opinion, the unsung heroes of our times. Sure, they may be doing something nobody wants them to do, and that nobody wants to see – but they’re true to themselves and are comfortable with their bodies – so… ummm… we may not have thought this through.
Fish Eye
Can you use these in your next diving adventure? This senior swimmer seems to be having fun with some of his swimming companions, and it is a great photo – but we think it’s a bit of a missed opprotunity. How great would it have been if this fish eye photo had been taken with a fish eye lens? Now that’s some meta photography for you, right there.
We really wish we knew who this guy is, because he seems like quite a character!
Goalkeeper
Coach said to keep the goal no matter what, so the goalie did just that. Good job. Or… is that a soccer ball with a human body… playing soccer? Would that be considered a form of cannibalism?
No, no, that’s unlikely. It could just be that the goalie is wearing the remains of a soccer ball he has felled, like some kind of grotesque trophy.. But then, where’s the ball he’s trying to block? Upon reconsideration, it seems most likely that this photo is exactly what it seems.
Comic Cloud
You can just use that cloud to write whatever the trumpet guy wanted to say. Let’s think of some captions together! “Guys, this is really nice weather we’re having!”
“Hey look! It looks like I’m smoking a pipe!” “Check it out, guys, hey, guys, check it out! Would you say this is a… fog horn?” “Do you think I could suck the could back in if I tried?” “I really wish somebody would snap a photo of this, this is priceless!”
Ball over Beer
“What can be worse than not catching the ball? Well, I’m glad you asked.” This photo is tragic, comic and dramatic all at once. There’s so many stories going on in this single frame, it almost seems like it’s a renaissance painting!
This is actually one of baseball’s most famous photographs, taken in Chicago during the 1959 World Series. The player getting doused with beer is the Chicago White Sox’s Al Smith – and the guy dropping the beer to catch the ball is a motor oil company executive by the name of Melvin Piehl.
Deer Street Sign
You all know that “Danger! Deer Crossing” warning sign with a deer jumping over the road? Well, this is how they got that idea.
We have to wonder, though – deer generally know to stay away from people – what possessed them to cross the road in the middle of a group of cyclists? We mean, sure, the spandex and crotch padding are enough to confuse anyone, but it still seems like a very unreasonable thing to do, deer or not – doesn’t it?
Pano Photo
Sometimes you don’t need photoshop. All you need is someone to call you when you’re taking a photo and let the vibrations do the rest. We’ve heard of crowds doing “the wave” before – but never like this.
What’s really disconcerting here though, is that the people in the photo don’t seem affected by the distortion – it’s only the field and the stands that seem to be influenced, further lending to the effect’s strange credibility. We hope this really was a vibrating phone and not a quake!
Employee of the Year
This guy’s work-mate knew that something like this was about to happen. He just waited for the perfect shot. But what’s happening here, exactly? Let’s analyze.
So this guy was trying to drive a tiny tractor (why?) up a pair of small ramps to the back of a tow truck. Even if we put our suspicion of tiny tractors aside (although seriously – tiny tractors – what are they good for?) – this is where things get complicated. Did he fall because one of the ramps gave way under the miniscule tractor’s weight? Did he not mount properly? Or… did the photographer ask the truck drive to drive forward for their photo?
Angry Jenga
Every game is fun, until it actually starts to attack you. This looks like a game made out of Hogwart’s Whomping Willow. While the kids are simply trying to play a quiet game of Jenga!, the enchanted wood will have none of it, and begins to flail around, bashing heads and taking names.
The adults, on their part, can only look on in horror, bewilderment, and.. dare we say it? – relief that they’re not the ones taking the hits.
Get off Human
“This is it, Buckaroo. It’s your stop. I’ve had enough. I’m done with this job.” This is, reportedly, what the horse was heard saying at Uruguay’s annual Semana Criolla del Prado festival – but little did he know that the rider, too, was making up his mind to stop with this dangerous horse riding stuff as he sailed through the air on his way to a rough landing in the dirt.
Both would later meet up again at university, where the horse would study corporate law, and the rancher – gender studies.
Saved by a Dad
Ok, with reflexes like these, we’re pretty sure that the Atlanta Braves signed this guy on for the next season. Like a few other baseball photographs we can name, this pic has the drama, tragedy and comedy of a good renaissance painting – and it also teaches us an important lessons:
Keep your eye on the ball, and live in the moment. This kid’s face may have been saved by his dad’s cat-like reflexes, but he could have taken care of himself if he wasn’t looking at his phone instead of at the game.
Dislocated Jaw Syndrome
Some people guard their food, other people guard their heads, but the little red-headed girl in front just doesn’t give a damn.
Luckily for everyone, the guy in the green shirt managed to block the bat with his jaw, thereby preventing anyone from getting hurt. It’s a good thing he was there: people’s reflexes can sometimes be mind blowing. Unrrelated question: how and why do baseball bats fly into spectators faces so often?
Fly Like an Eagle
One explanation for this: the cat is a true, devoted fan of the song “Fly like an eagle,” so when it saw an actual eagle, it seized the opportunity – and the bird.
Another: Cats are freakin’ crazy, man. Who knows why they do what they do, and what they’re truly capable of? We wouldn’t want to get into a fight with a bald eagle, and we’re much, much bigger than most domestic cats. What was the cat thinking? We’re not sure we want to know.
Sculpting Idea
Is this where the sculptor got his idea for Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado? Maybe! We think it’s more likely that the plane is imitating the statue and not the other way around, but really, we’re no experts.
We like a lot of things about this photo, not the least of which – the smoke coming out of the plane. Yes, we know it’s most likely intentional and meant to allow spectators to follow the aerobatics the plane is performing, but we think it might be cooler if it was the engine burning.
I’ll Take That
Listen, seagulls are no joke. Despite having a beak and no, you know, any actual teeth, there’s nothing worse than a seagull with a sweet tooth – a lesson the buckaroo with the red bag seems to have just learned the hard way.
Seagulls don’t care about property, rules, the law or moral imperatives: if they see something they want, they reach out and take it.
Optical Illusion
Wait, is this one of those ‘What is the first thing that you see on the picture’ game? Is that an old man, or a toddler? Long lost conjoined twins that have been born really, really far apart?
Take a moment to figure it out for yourself, and then come back when you’re ready. Ready? Good. So this will blow your mind. If you’ve figured the optical illusion out, you must have realized that the toddler’s face blends perfectly with the contours of the older man’s cheek. And that’s all fine and well – but it doesn’t explain why the kid’s hat is big enough for the both of them.
Almost Got it
We all miss a catch sometimes – but it rarely has as wide reaching ramifications as this miss had for Canadian politician Robert Lorne Stanfield. Stanfield lost the 1974 Federal Elections after this photo of him was published in newspapers.
The incident is still widely cited in Canadian media as an example of Canadian “image politics,” considering this photo was chosen over many others taken of him ctaching that very same football. If he had known that, maybe he would have gone for tennis.
Moana’s Rock
This little rock was all alone and unprotected when the sea decided to take the matter into its own ‘hands.’ We know we’ve gushed about fast camera shutter speeds and how photography allows us to see moments we would otherwise definitely miss – but really, how can we look at this amazing photograph and not say anything?
Look at how the foam creates a delicate latticework of bubbles and froth the looks like a soft cloak especially fitted for this little rock?

We certainly hope so, because we don’t know if we can stand another photo of a child falling! So much hope, optimisim and naivite in these little guys, and watching them fall is no fun at all. What we love about this is that despite the fact that she’s hurtling towards the ground, she still seems to be reaching out to the floating bubbles! Aw. Close Encounter
We bet he is glad that they put cage around his face. We’ll be honest, we always though hockey masks were a bit excessive – but this photo’s proven us wrong.
We know hockey is a violent sport, but to actually be confronted with a heavy metal puck right in the middle of your face.. Well. Who invented this game, that’s what we’d like to know! This seems like a horrible way to pass the time! Why would anyone willingly undergo this?!
Genetic Experiment
We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: seagulls are fearless and frightening. So of course, if you were in the business of genetic engineering and wanted to create a perfect fish killing machine, the only reasonable course of action would be to cross a gull with a bear.
Beargulls are elegant, graceful creatures, but we have no doubt they’ll haunt or nightmares for years to come. One can only hope they’re kept in their artifical enclosures, and never roam free.
Bee Attack
We’ve all heard that bee stings kill and disembowl the bee that does the stinging – but have you ever seen it with your own eyes? The photo beautifully captures the hook of the bee’s sting staing behind as the rest of the bee flies away and is torn apart.
It’s not a pretty sight, but it certainly is an interesting one. Aw, poor bee! We know your sting hurts like hell, but it really does hurt you more than it hurts us!
Here Comes the Sun
Bumblebee to the rescue! Speaking of bees, look at this amazing photo of a bee “lifting” the sun up and helping it rise in the sky!
What a spectacular shot – and a difficult one, too, considering the lens is aimed directly at the sun, and the fact that bees fly in, well, beelines! We wonder how long the photographer had to wait to get things exactly right, and how many shots they took that didn’t amount to anything before this one came along!
Goalkeeper Cats
Ok, we admit, even though we don’t love cats, this photo is adorable! Look at the these little guys! What were they doing that they both wound up in this pose, though?!
We mean, it looks like they’re playing volleyball or soccer, but what kind of real world situation would wind up with two cats thrown back on their backs like this? Maybe there was a really big bug flying around, but our gut feeling tells us this was something else.
Speedy Gonzales?
This dog obviously miscalculated the speed that he was running.,SMORSH! Look at this adorable little pup! He’s all over the place!,Aw, poor doggo, we love you no matter how clumsy you are, but you gotta look out in the future, okay? We wouldn’t want you to break anything, would we?

First Flight
Flying in pairs is always easier. Or so we’re told. We guess that when it comes to ducklings (or are these gooselings?) if everybody jumps from the bridge… then nobody stays behind.
Flying is such a magical thing, it’s amazing to think that it happens at all – so to get to witness creatures learning to fly for the first time … well, that’s just special.
French Kiss
It wasn’t this dog’s fault – he was just following her lead!! Okay, so you’ve read us gush over how great dogs are in previous pictures…. and we’re gonna do it again! OUR LOVE OF DOGS LITERALLY CANNOT BE CONTAINED!
This boy, this very very good boy, is merely following suit after his human stuck her tongue out in what was clearly an invitation! We’d switch places with her in an instant if we wonly could.
Too Exciting For Her
This bridesmaid couldn’t overcome the excitement, so now the groom doesn’t know if he should he kiss the bride, or CPR her friend. Is there a doctor in the crowd? Speak now or forever hold your peace!
We know it must have been scary while it happened, but that makes for one heck of a wedding memory, though. “And then, kids, aunt Susan passed out! Right at the altar! Can you believe it? She’s still there, all those years later!”
Cup Castle
Someone just sneezed. We can so relate to the expression on this guy’s face. It’s the same expression we get immediately after we accidentally delete a 6,000 word long document instead of saving it: first, miscomprehension. Then, understanding. Then, denial. Then, finally, calm acceptance.
We’re sure a lot was riding on this cup pyramid, and we sure the backlash is going to be rough – but hey, buddy, don’t give up now! Pick your cups up and start again. All over again. Yes, from the bottom up.
Bubble Dog
Ok, you probably heard of a bubble boy, but have you heard about the bubble dog? Apparently, he is allergic to everything. Yes, okay, we know this is a small soap bubble, and that this beautiful pip isn’t actually inside it – but can’t we dream? Dogs and bubbles, people! That’s literally the dream! You’d be hard pressed to find a more magical photo, we guarantee it.
Aw, look at this pupper! He’s barking at the bubbles!! Aw!! …Ok, we’re done.
Fishman?
We think we have a perfect match for this guy earlier on in this list – abut do we actually want these guys to meet? Think of their horrible, monstrous, hybrid children!
Is the world ready to have such horrors unleashed upon it? Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for populating the world with mermaids – but not like this, dear lord! NOT! LIKE! THIS! Okay, we will concede that honestly, this is a pretty sick, cool photo and we wish we’d shot it.

And in track No 10 is a well know mouse chaser, Kitty Bolt! Okay, you might scoff, but Usain Bolt’s maximum speed is 27.8 miles per hour, while a common house cat’s maximum speed is 30 miles per hour. So if anyone could actually convince a cat to stick to their lane and track and run as fast as they could – well… Bolt’s in for some serious competition.
We’d actually pay to see that, now that we think of it.
Not a Bench
Being a tourist can be exhausting. You’re up on your feet all day, walking around, speaking a foreign language, trying to understand where you are and what you’re doing, and sometimes… well, sometimes you just want to lay back and relax.
Oh well – at least there wasn’t a stingray hiding behind that railing, just waiting for the opprotune moment to photobomb these nice people. …Although, that would have made for an amazing photo, don’t you think?

“Oh look, that statue is wearing the same hat we are!” Ugh, we hate it when something becomes so fashionable, you can’t look anywhere without seeing someone wearing what you’ve got on.
We know what the guy in the pink striped shirt is thinking, though. He’s thinking “I was wearing this before it was popular.” And you know what, we gotta give credit where credit’s due. Long before they built that stupid statue, this guy was rocking his copper green tiara and making it a thing.
