Great Wall of Africa
Africa’s continent is home to the Sahara Desert, however it appears that the desert is expanding dangerously beyond of its bounds. The risk of drying out on the continent is increased by rising temperatures.
A recent project called the Great Green Wall aims to stop desertification, hopefully bring more vegetation to the region surrounding the Sahara, and increase agricultural and organic plant life. The Great Green Wall will be a belt of trees that runs the entire length of the nation.
