Talking about government may be very difficult, particularly when attempting to compare various national administrations. This map provides a scale that helps us see how they relate to each other.
The quantity of orange and red on this map is confusing, especially considering that less people were living in democracies last year. This suggests that rather than moving toward more democratic governments, our world is regressing toward more authoritarian ones.
