Lying Awake
That night, Cory couldn’t sleep. His mind was whirring with dark thoughts. He worried he wasn’t being a good father to Heather, Ada, Carter, and Cameron. He feared they’d be thrown out onto the street if he couldn’t pay the rent. As he was spiraling, he suddenly realized that there was someone responsible for this nightmare: Bill.
If Bill had only had the decency to move his truck, then Cory wouldn’t be in this mess. He would never have lost his job. His sadness and depression quickly turned into a wave of fiery anger. Bill needed to be taught a lesson.
