Hatching a Plan
Even as it got later and later, Cory didn’t drift off. He was too busy coming up with a plan to make Bill wish he’d never parked his semi-truck in front of his driveway. Cory didn’t like to involve his kids in this kind of thing, but now he needed their help.
He knocked softly on Heather and Ada’s door. He wanted to see what his eldest daughter thought of his plan. Even though it was the middle of the night, Heather was awake. He knew she must be worrying about the events of the day before. In hushed tones so as not to wake Ada, he explained everything.
