Moving the Business
After the conversation, Cory led Bill outside to address the crowd. “Neighbors,” Bill announced loudly. “This man here has shown me that I have been acting in my own selfish interests and making life difficult for all of you. It’s time for that to change. That’s why, as of Monday, I’ll be moving my operations to an appropriate location outside of town,” he continued.
The crowd burst into applause and Heather, Ada, Cameron, and Carter rushed to hug their dad. His plan had worked and they had all won together. It felt like a family triumph.
