Carl’s Salon
For more than 15 years, Carl had worked as a hairdresser. He started by sweeping up hair in his auntie’s salon and slowly labored his way up till he became an expert. He had a knack for seeing precisely the cut and shape that would fit a purchaser first-class, and they would go away feeling like a million greenbacks.
These days, he had his very own salon, and people came here from miles around the world to have their hair styled through Carl’s award-prevailing fleet of stylists. People knew him on the road. He became a hairdresser extraordinaire.
He Was an Expert
Which is why it became even more annoying that Mrs Thompson had the nerve to cut her daughter’s hair. It would have been bad for any boy, but doing this was for a blonde girl. Carl had always ensured Sarah’s hair was clean, neat and well-groomed.
Yes, he had a natural voice, but the thought of him not being “fit” for school made his blood boil. He had a pretty good idea of why the teacher thought it was okay to make such a fuss.
