Going Separate Ways
The day after the episode debuted, on July 11, 2005, Linda Thompson filed for divorce from David Foster. It was the longest relationship either of them had ever had, lasting 14 years.
Foster went on to pursue two additional marriages: the first was to Katherine McPhee, an actress and singer-songwriter who was 35 years his junior, and the second was to Yolanda Hadid, the mother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid. However, Thompson made the decision to go in a different direction.
