Both Tonya and Nancy were selected to be on that year’s Olympic team.
Consequences
There was hell to pay as everyone learned about what Tonya had done to Nancy.
Tonya was sentenced to three years of probation, a fine of $160,000, and 500 hours of community service instead of jail time.

Obviously, Tonya would have to make a statement in regards to the Kerrigan situation. Her statement read, “I would like to begin by saying how sorry I am about what happened to Nancy Kerrigan.

“When I returned home Monday, January 10th, 1994, I was exhausted but still focused on the national championships,” she said in her statement.
I found out throughout the next several days that there was a chance that some people close to me were involved in the assault.
Life before the storm – Nancy
Nancy was just a typical girl who attended Stoneham High School and Emmanuel College in Boston, where she studied commerce before entering the spotlight as a professional skater.
She always wants to represent her nation at the Olympic games.
Love and marriage
Nancy Solomon, her agent, married her after she gave up competing.
After getting married in 1995, they went on to have three kids together: Nicole was born in 2008, Brian was born in 2005, and Matthew was born in 1996.
Life before the storm – Tonya
Tonya was reared in Portland, Oregon, as was recently shown in the movie I, Tonya. When she was just three years old, she began to skate.
Rather of finishing her high school education, she obtained her GED to fulfill her educational requirements.
Making a criminal
Tonya’s transformation into the attention-seeking criminal that she eventually became is understandable.
Her second marriage was rumored to have been ill-fated and to have included abuse, and her mother was an abusive person. Her only passion was ice.

Strangely enough, Nancy might not have finished her career and could have been able to continue as a coach if Harding had not done anything to her.
She made remarkable progress in the sport of ice skating.
Kerrigan’s representation
Nancy started serving as a spokesperson for the Fight for Sight foundation in 2003. The foundation wants to raise awareness of people who are blind or visually impaired.
Nancy was passionate about this cause because her mother was legally blind.
Nancy’s TV and movie career
Over the years, Nancy made appearances in a number of films and television programs. Nancy appeared as a guest on Boy Meets World in 1995.
She also hosted her own hour on Nancy Kerrigan’s World of Skating and appeared on the television shows Skating with Celebrities in 2006 and Blades of Glory in 2007.
Hall of Fame
In 2004, Nancy was admitted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame for her achievements in the sport of ice skating.
Nancy was recognized at the 2008 Ice Theatre of New York gala in addition to the Hall of Fame.
Boxing Tonya
Tonya would stop at nothing to regain her notoriety and financial security. She made an attempt to pursue a career in boxing.
Tonya defeated Paula Jones in a boxing match in 2002.
A one year boxing career
Over the course of her boxing career, which lasted a year and a half, Tonya participated in seven contests.
Given that she was getting paid for the battles, she intended to win four of the seven.

Tanya put on a lot of weight in the years following the conclusion of her figure skating career, most of which she has subsequently managed to lose.
Harding used to be fit when she was a skater, but her appearance changed after she started boxing.

As if boxing weren’t difficult enough, Tonya wanted to make money from her famous profile and sold Penthouse her adult tape that she had made with her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly, a co-conspirator in the Nancy Kerrigan case, for a cool $200,000.

In 1990, Tonya wed Jeff Gillooly, the guy who had assisted her in harming Nancy.
Both their marriage and their attack ended horribly. 1993 saw the couple’s divorce.
I, Tonya
In 2017, a biopic about Tonya Harding’s life in general and “the incident” was released.
Produced as a sports black comedy, I, Tonya features a number of well-known actors, including Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale, and Margot Robbie, who plays Tonya Harding, much to Tonya’s chagrin.
The attack in Nancy’s words
Nancy discussed the attack with 60 Minutes in 2017 for the first time since it had occurred. “I was struck directly above my kneecap; if I had been struck slightly below, my kneecap would have been shattered;
if I had been struck slightly above, the entire muscle would have been calcified,” the woman stated.

Nancy reportedly has a net worth of $8 million. Her numerous endorsement deals and other profitable business endeavors, which she wisely invested in, give her an annual salary of $600,000.

I always wanted to be a mom.” It’s the best that life marches on and I became a mother.
Nancy’s struggle
Life has not been as easy as she deserved it to be, but Nancy had a hard time conceiving.
She let the struggle be known when she was interviewed on Dancing with the Stars.
