A complicated situation
Ben later acknowledged that he and Garner fell in love while watching Daredevil. However, they both battled and attempted to fight it at the moment. After all, Garner was married to actor Scott Foley, and Ben was engaged to J. Lo.
Stated differently, it was not optimal for these two to be in a romantic relationship. And poor J. Lo ended up getting engaged to a man who was emotionally cheating on her, at least to some extent.
